Purple Charoite Earrings with Cat Charms
These earrings are set with genuine, rare charoite gemstones which all look a bit different in their pattern.
Charoite was discovered in the 1940s, but unknown to the outside world until 1978. Its name is derived from the Chara (or Charo) River in eastern Siberia, Russia, the only site in the world where it is found.
I added two slender, beautiful cat charms to the earrings. The cats are opposite, looking at each other. They are hand cast right here in Australia out of food-grade pewter.
Total length of the earrings is 7cm, all metal is silver tone, the ear wires are stainless steel, for durability.
They will come with clear rubber stoppers to prevent loss.
